The music festival in Reading is the world’s oldest popular music festival still in existence dating back to 1961. We used a single camera strapped to the First Great Western depot roof to capture the entire festival. The Canon 1100d camera fired every 12 minutes to give us enough footage for a two minute film. We shot some establishing scenes on a Canon  5d MK3 and found some great royalty free music from our favourite source In all my time lapse experience I’ve never found any structure that stands entirely still over enough time, girders, rocks, walls – they all move. The same was true of the roof of the depot but it was within tolerance to be stabilized in post.
